Introduction

The aspect of successfully addressing the distinct needs of stakeholders shapes the overall success of an organization. PepsiCo is a renowned company that has not been able to successfully address the concerns of the different stakeholders. PepsiCo has ignored to a great extent the aspect of nutrition in its products and in the past it just relied upon the aspect of providing customers with easily accessible products. As a result, a majority of the products offered by PepsiCo were unhealthy and ignored the aspect of nutrition. The ethical considerations of PepsiCo had been lacking to a great extent. We would look to conduct a stakeholder analysis of PepsiCo keeping in consideration the ethical decisions they would have to take (Ilic, 2003).

PepsiCo realizes the importance of addressing the distinct needs of various stakeholders in the context of retaining them. Each stakeholder associated with PepsiCo has his succinct needs and concerns that have to be addressed by Pepsi Co. There are substantially two types of stakeholders that form the crux of stakeholders of PepsiCo. First of all, there are those consumers that are more interested in acquiring delicious products while there are other regulatory groups that have a stringent focus on the aspect of nutrition. In order to balance the needs of both stakeholders, it is necessary that PepsiCo adopts a balanced approach that successfully incorporates both of their concerns (Carroll, & Buchholtz, 2011).

PepsiCo places the aspect of social responsibility in high significance due to its increased dependence on its reputation. PepsiCo devotes a high amount of importance to achieve sustainable growth through accomplishing healthy financial returns. By aligning the aspects of health and finance, the concerns of both stakeholders are addressed to a great extent. There are some stakeholders apart from consumers that have an eye on the financial well being of PepsiCo.

PepsiCo places a high degree of importance to the aspect of quality in its products and strives to deliver quality conscious products to its customers. PepsiCo is highly committed towards the aspect of providing healthy and nutritious products to its customers. Earlier, it was plagued by the rise of unhealthy products and its great contribution towards obesity. With the rise of these problems, PepsiCo completely transformed its manufacturing processes by incorporating healthier options and increasing utilization of healthy and nutritious ingredients. PepsiCo was quick to realize the fact that unhealthy products were greatly affecting the customers in an adverse manner and thus the management of PepsiCo attached great significance to transforming its manufacturing operations. Although consumers need easy to access foods, there is a great need for consumers to be given easy access foods without compromising on the element of health and nutrition.
