There is a significant impact of broken marriages on all individuals connected, especially children. Children are immature and innocent; they are not able to handle stressful events like adults. Behaviour and reactions may vary from explosive to subtle. Briefly, relationships with sibling and parents are all vital in a child life. This essay examines the effect of broken marriages and parental behaviour on child based on legal paradigms, as well as offer recommendations.

When a marriage ends in divorce, the result is tragic and has an effect on ripples across the lifespan of the couple and their children. Studies reported that on average, children in divorced families in comparison to ones in non-divorce parents are more probably to demonstrate emotional and behavioural issues, such as poorer academic achievement, less socially responsible behaviour, and lower self-esteem and social competence. As regard to case study, the family unit disruption leads to inability to concentrate, move through routine activities and emotional instability. Since, Sarah and Jude are not able to understand details of their parents and resulted Sarah lost interest in school.
