Case Background

Harry commissioned Nathan to make and install a glass lamp to light up the public house. The lamp was to hang on a bracket, fixed to the wall of the public house, and overhanging the private car park.

A week later the lamp fell from its bracket and damaged a car belonging to Steven, which was parked in the carpark. Evidence later showed that Nathan had not used long enough bolts to fix the lamp to its bracket.
