Problems

Problems are associated with all types internet browsers. The most critical one is the data protection issue. Some browser may not have enough features to be able to protect the users from spams and malicious websites. Compatibility, accessing and loading speed are also issues with some browsers the users are generally complaining about. Security of computers and information however, is considered as the most prime problem.

Symptoms

Many browsers are not versatile enough to run web pages latest code designs. For instance users do complain about being unable to view the web pages designed using HTML 5. Web pages constructed using the design code of HTML 5 does not get displayed accurately. This is so because the web browsers do not support all the features of HTML 5 pages. However, certain web tools are in the process of being designed for the purpose of making all web browsers compatible to display web pages designed for specific web browsers using former design codes.

Web has undoubtedly provided people with a vast platform to carry out many normal tasks online. These tasks could be banking, searching or researching about any topic, shopping etc. The credit of making world a global village by letting people communicate with each other across the globe in seconds goes to web. Like every other thing in this world web browsers do have some dark sides. The most crucial one among them is security. Though browsers are adding ad-on features in their design to protect the users from getting attacked by hackers and spams, yet this is the most talked about issue among the technology users. HTTPs and other intrusion detection and prevention techniques are enabling the users to protect their information form attackers.

Problem/Symptom Analysis

Every browser comes with its own list of issues and advantages. Working at the same workplace like the University of Towson under same conditions but with multiple web browsers does not allow the IT department to maintain a proper and efficient working of every browser. Maintaining three web browsers such as Google's Chrome, Mozilla's Firefox, and Microsoft's Internet Explorer is posing issues for the IT department of the university. As the issues and their solution varies with the type browser does not allow the staff members of the IT department to maintain a standard code of practice. This not only questions the efficiency of the staff members but also pose difficulties for the users and students.

Alternatives

Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Mozilla Firefox are three well known web browsers used worldwide for running the websites with minimum problems.

Evaluation

Working with Google Chrome is preferred by many users because its activation speed is much better than other browsers that allow it to load web pages fast. It also comes off with tab system that enables the users to open multiple pages at a time.
