Research proposition

The objective of the study was to highlight the main issues that were related to and were the reasons associated with the TV violence. The general complain related to television which is high in number nowadays is related to the heavy quantity of violence that is shown on the screen. This has been proved by the public surveys. Half or more of the programs showed on television are intense and thousands of studied has revealed that watching violence on TV causes and increase in the violence of the society. The central idea was to highlight and examine what impact has TV violence brought on the memory of the ads and what effect it has on the advertisers also.

Problem statement

The problems account of the subject, or the problem being addressed in the article is as follows: “The effect of TV violence on the memory for ads”.

This problem that is being addressed depicts that most of the programs shown on television are intense, and these intense programs are still sponsored by advertisers. Intended for effective commercial is it necessary that people be supposed to memorize the brands that are shown and advertised nowadays in accordance to the message it proposes.

Research question

Research question according to the following problem being addressed in the study is:

“What will be the effect of televised violence on the memory for commercial messages?”

Hypothesis testing

The hypotheses that were tested for the problem that was presented in the study are as follows:

H1a. There were will an impact of violence by television on the memory of commercial messages

H1b. There will be no impact of violence by television on the memory of commercial messages
