The Carnival Corporation serves huge amount of cruisers who are with diverse backgrounds and different expectations and purchasing power towards their time onboard ships of Carnival. Carnival Corporation's famous brand is Carnival Cruise Lines. It is a flagship brand of the corporation and the Carnival Cruise Lines started to operate in the year 1972. Carnival Cruise Lines started its business operations with a second hand ship known as Mardi Gras (Carnival Corporation & Plc, 2010, Pp.31-33). The Carnival Cruise Lines has been developed and it has now almost 1 tour operator and 11 cruise brands. The Carnival Cruise Lines is standing at the best position in almost all of the segments of the cruise industry. The fleet of the Carnival Cruise Lines Company includes 97 ships. Moreover, many other 10 ships are under development and they will be completed by the end of the year 2014. The Carnival Cruise Lines Company greets almost 8.5 millions of passengers to its ships each year. The Carnival Cruise Lines Company has been profitable company in the industry of tourism. The headquarters of the company are situated in London in United Kingdom and also in Miami in United States (Carnival Corporation & Plc, 2010, Pp.31-33).

Since the period of 1970s, cruises are meant to offer luxurious trans-ocean transportation options to the customers. The cruise industry has changed into a vacation alternative for people who want to travel to sightseeing locations in the oceans and to land based destinations.
