Introduction

I plan to choose dancing as my career option as I have immense interest in dance since I was a kid. I learned ballet for 18 years and have been dancing since the age of 4. The time span which I devoted to learning dance has spanned over a very long time period and this is a clear reflection of how much interest I have in this hobby of mine. I believe it is important to choose the career goal in life in which one has interest because that means that the person does not feel like they are doing work, instead it seems as if one is spending time doing their hobby. Making my hobby as my career choice will give me a lot of happiness and I will be content with my job as dancing is something I love to do.

I have given a lot of time to develop my skills in dancing and have learned various different forms of dance such as modern dance, jazz dance and hip hop dance. Learning all these different forms of dance has helped me in evolving as a dancer and has widened my horizons. I explored different aspects of the art of dance that I did not know about before. I aim to give more time to improve on my dancing skills so that I can become the type of dancer I want to be and achieve the position in the world of dance that I want to see myself at. After the completion of my education, I aim to go back to my country of Hong Kong and open a dance school there.

Dance as my hobby

I have been learning ballet for 10 years, and I gave time to learn ballet during the initial years of my study too. I have immense interest in dance and ballet, and I give a lot to dancing everyday because it is my hobby and it makes me feel good about myself. I have given a lot of time to learning ballet and have developed a lot on my ballet skills which will help me out when I pursue dancing as my career and become a dance teacher. I used to go to dance studios for learning ballet and I still go to dance studios for the purpose of enhacing my dancing skills and because I love to dance. I think that if I choose my career to be related to my hobby, then it will be very beneficial for me as I would not be doing any work as such, since dance is my hobby and I would feel that I am giving much more time to my hobby.
