Introduction

In early ages of children from 0 to 3 years more than half of their time is spent on food, hygiene and rest, which are called as daily activities. After that when a child gets at a period of 18-36 months, the routine of a child gets changed and he devote the remaining hours to play activities and other more specific activities, among which include: activities of knowledge and observation of reality, language activities, music activities, outings or tours around the environment, etc. Undoubtedly, at this stage daily activities are particularly important, as are the cuts that mark time in the daily rhythm of the child (Walker & Watkins, 1997). These activities also cover basic needs in early childhood to represent / as children / as the first educational activities and that they constantly learn new things about themselves and their surroundings, while establishing a relationship with the adult reference, so they have great importance in affective and relational. This paper basically focuses on the care for physical and nutritional needs of babies and young children. Furthermore, this paper will also be taking into consideration some of the important information which can be very helpful for taking care of young children.

Giving an attention to basic needs in care of babies and young children is a task that is increasingly gaining an importance, while the greatest need, among other reasons due to the incorporation of women into the work, which implies that / as children / as spend more time in the nursery, however, the basic child care has become so significant and the issues which are required to know for parents as well as early childhood educator is of vital importance, therefore, this paper will be facilitating in knowing and solving such issues as well (Oates, 2007). Daily activities should be covered in the instructional materials as a proper and specific content, that can also be addressed as a main issue in the programming of other activities. Its importance is that, when repeated regularly, these activities allow a parent or early childhood educator to acquire habits of independence, social integration and foster the relationship with the adult because of the close contact they allow.

Importance of Food, Hygiene and Sleep in Care for Babies and Young Children

Food: One of the main pillars on which the living arrangements of a child depends and is also one of the primary needs that human beings need to satisfy in a suitable manner. The caretaker of a child should assume the importance of food and health that have in relation to feeding / as children / as it serves. From this area the power is to be understood as an element of the nutritional, part of the content and therefore has to be programmed (Kirk, 2003).
