Introduction

This project is going to do detailed analysis of the various aspects related to the operations at “Family Dollar” which is a leading brand in United States' retail industry. There is going to be a detailed analysis of the company's mission and vision statements against the performance of the organization. Later there will be an assessment of organization's strategic goals and their link with the company's mission and vision. There will also be a look on the company's financial performance for determining the link between the company's strategic goals, strategy, and its financial performance. Further, there is going to be a competitive and marketing analysis and SWOT analysis of Family Dollar. Strategies will also be suggested for the betterment of the over conduct in the organization and maximizing the returns for shareholders. Options of merger or acquisition will also be thoroughly discussed with proper justifications and in the end employee motivation will be discussed. The discussion will end with a look on the company's overall ethical behaviors and conducts which are affecting the society in good as well as bad ways.
