The article explains the fact of the cancer risk test where according to the new guideline, women under 70 or more than the age of 70 who are diagnosed with the ovarian cancer are more eligible for the genetic testing for the purpose of looking for the BRA1 and BRA2 gene mutation. Further the analysis would include and applies the sociological approach to the increasing problem of cancer among women, where many of thought provoking concepts regarding cancer and their origin will be discussed, in addition to this discussion, would be done in order to understand the function and the process of how these illnesses are distributed, origination and discusses in our modern surroundings. The concepts of sociology which could include in terms of medicalisation, biomedical models, will be the core concepts which will help in demonstrating the sociological knowledge that further would help the health professionals to significantly examine the media coverage of issues such as cancer risk tests.
