Families are an important and essential part of everyone's life. There are certain characteristics that define the families today. Every country has its own set of values and culture that the families follow. In Canada, there are no set values and cultures that the families follow; however, the number of traditional families has decreased. The structure of the Canadian families of today is different than the traditional ones. The importance of values and culture in the modern families is not the same as the traditional ones. It is important for the people to understand the importance of families and their values in such a manner which will help them in leading a better life. According to the recent census of the country it has been seen that the number of families in the country has increased and so has the number of children. It has been seen in the recent years that there is an increase in single parents raising a family. One out of four families is being raised by a single parent and there are many problems that these families face. Financial constraints are the major issues that such families face and in order to reduce these constraints it is essential that proper care is provided to them by the government.
