Campaigning for a Better Heart

Introduction

Today, most of the Americans die due to various heart diseases (Kulas, 2011). Heart diseases remain the number 1 killer in America, also among women who die from heart diseases more than men according to the American Heart Association (AHA, 2012). Heart diseases are varied. Accordingly, we as nursing students want to campaign for health promotion and for people to become aware regarding the requirements for remaining heart healthy. Therefore, we want to create awareness among the masses to quit smoking and eat fat- and sodium-free foods to protect their hearts.
