Part 1

Attitude standard remains an important tool for supervisors to use and include in employee orientations and performance appraisals. Attitude guides the basic atmosphere of the organization and determines how employees intend to work. Organization is an independent identity of a business and its purpose to attain a desired objective. An organization is run by employees so we can say that employees are one of the basic necessities of an organization to do what it wants to do. Therefore, it is important that these significant members of organization are content and satisfied with what they are doing in order to help organization achieve its goals. Employees' motivation is also dependent on organizational culture and the level of recognition and fairness in evaluation system. For the purpose of appraising performances; assessing the attitudes of employees towards work is essentially important (Ciotta, 2011).

Part 2

There are various principles that can guide employee motivation. The five basic things which are extremely important to motivate employees are (Ciotta, 2011);

Compensation

Money is what we all are working for in the market. Our performance, effort and hard work are priced in monetary value. It's the mindset of today's employees.

Development

There are those employees as well in the society, who do not only think about money rather they prefer improvement, learning, training, job nature, responsibilities and development factors over money.

Recognition

Recognition establishes the sense of self esteem, sense of accomplishment and confidence within one self.

Security

Job security comes with the consistency in the results by performing duties and responsibilities adequately and with loyalty. Job security increases one's honesty and loyalty towards his company.

Personal Satisfaction

People are more likely to get motivation for their personal objective and set goals. Self satisfaction is the greatest source of motivation for employees as compare to salary, growth, security or recognition.
