Objective

The Business plan is to be used as an operating and policy guide for the Young Company. The plan is aimed at providing the company to expand its current market in order to cater a larger number of customers. It also provides financial projections for next years, and sales goals. The purpose of this study is to provide the management of the company to provide timely control over the cash flows and ensure the liquidity of the company.

Introduction

The Findus Group of frozen food and seafood is one of the largest companies in Europe that have leading brands, around six thousand employees and over £1.1 billion turnover. The subsidiary companies are Young's, Findus and Young's chilled division (youngsseafoodchilled.co.uk).

The Young company is the leading branded producer and distributor of seafood, with 200 years old heritage of selling a wide range of high quality seafood products. The company has been providing customers with the finest quality seafood for several years (youngsseafoodchilled.co.uk).

1.1 Factors That Contribute To the Process of Project Selection

The selection of the project was based on the following factors:

Since I have been an internee in Young's seafood limited for more than 8 weeks, and I had a great learning experience of different concepts and ideas during my tenure. Therefore, I was inspired to take this company as my project in order to evaluate their business projects.

In addition to that, the management of the company is very cooperative, and it is easy for me to get all the required information from Supple Software.

Moreover, the company has grown from a small firm that started its operations around two hundred years ago to a market leading Company; therefore, to study the business projects of such company will help me to enhance my skills of planning for a business and its management.
