Business Plan for John Mobile Hairdresser

Introduction

The John Mobile Hairdresser will launch its business very soon in the London metropolitan area. This mobile hairdresser company will also lease an office in any of the business districts. The business will provide co-hairdressing services. In this way, the business will provide hairdressing and grooming services to both males and females. It is expected that the target population will range from infants to elderly people. However, the target population may belong to any of the ethnicities or races.

The business will provide hairdressing and grooming services on the wheels. The clients will be able to approach the trucks of the company parked in streets, corners, and at other convenient locations. The customers will be able to approach the company truck which will have in-house complete haircutting, hairdressing, and grooming facilities. There will be 2 male and another 2 female hairdressers and beauticians in each truck. The truck will be driven by one of the hairdressers. The truck will have complete hairdressing and beauty equipment. This equipment will be fitted inside the truck to provide a complete saloon within the truck. However, the hairdressing services will only be provided when the truck is parked somewhere. The mobile shop will not provide services when the truck is moving between locations.

The service will provide a complete range of hairdressing and beautician services ranging from hairdressing, facials, and massage for men, to hairdressing, manicure, and other beautician services for the women.

The unique selling proposition of the business and the service is providing hairdressing and beauty services on the go. This means that the services will be available at the footsteps of the customers. The customers will be able to avail the services right at the location where the truck is parked, which will be the most convenient location for the customers to get the hairdressing and beauty services (Entrepreneur, 2012).

The marketplace of the business is the London metropolitan area. The trucks will be able to manifest themselves at prominent locations in the city. Although, the service will not be available to repeat customers, as the trucks might not be available at the same location again, the trucks will indeed provide very high quality service to those who arrive at the truck to get the services. Currently, there is not too much competition in the hairdressing market. Nearly all of the current hairdressers in the geographical area are fixed, parlour-based which are not mobile. Therefore, there will be a significant edge for the business in providing the services on the wheels. Hence, the business will not face any real competition from existing players in the market. However, it will be ensured that the trucks are parked at locations that do not necessarily expose the company to nearby competition.
