Introduction

Zheng vs. Liberty Apparel Co. is the case in which 26 non English garment workers were not paid for a month in a New York Chinatown's factory. They sued manufacture, Liberty Apparel Company; their complaint was rejected as there were no payment records for working as joint employers. This directs the attention towards the concern that the contractors who work as the joint employers under Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938(FLSA) and New York Law.
