Introduction

Our company will be providing businesses, large or small with the much needed training and development. In our upcoming project, we will be focusing on training the employees at stores and restaurants. We will be visiting restaurants and stores for conducting seminars and talks on how staff needs to deal with the customers, efficiently. Organizations involve in training. Organizations train to adapt to the changes so that they can either survive the competition or out do their rivals. It is through training that the organizations tend to develop their employees, (Nadler, 1970). The key to effective training at a workplace is constant learning through the work itself, (Billett, 2001). Therefore, we will be training the staff at their work places. Workplace is an important site for learning and training, (Rainbird and Helen, 2000).

Etiquette is said to be a code of conduct, it can be both written and unwritten, for a very basic form of behavior which is expected socially from the individuals in a learned society based on the society's cultural values and norms. These behaviors may include proper ways of interacting socially with the people, certain guidelines for handling clients at the restaurants and stores, to an extent of dress which is considered to be acceptable for various different occasions. We will relate all the customer and staff issues at the restaurants. We will be focusing on retaining and increasing the customer base by training their employees.

Training employees properly is important for a retail store or a restaurant to do well. Food service is an intensive business customer-contact place. The staff needs to be alert and attentive to the demands of the customers for displaying the brand personality of the restaurants or retail stores.
