Task 1.1) Organizational purposes and characteristics

Toyota is a renowned brand name in the Automobile Industry in the United Kingdom, and its sole purpose is to manufacture and sell quality cars. Toyota has been involved in car production business within the UK since 1989 and has always focused on providing high standards of quality to its customers (Knapman, 2012). At the moment, the company has two production units in the UK, with a combine investment of around € 2.1 billion and employing more than 3,000 workers.

The corporation was established by Kiichiro Toyoda in 1937 as a sequel from his father's corporation Toyota Industries to make vehicles. Three years before, in 1934, while still a subdivision of Toyota Industries, it formed its first creation, the Type A machine, and, in 1936, its first traveller carriage, the Toyota AA. Toyota Motor Corporation group companies are Toyota (including the Scion brand), Lexus, Daihatsu, and Hino Motors, along with several "nonautomotive" companies. TMC is part of the Toyota Group, one of the largest conglomerates in the world.

The car production unit is located in Burnaston, Derbyshire, and the engine production plant is located at Deeside, North Wales. In 1970, they lanced their first automobile in the form of Carina E, followed by Avensis, Corolla, Auris, and many more state of the art auto brands for consumers of all ages and socio-economic background. Toyota manufacturing UK is the subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corporation based in Japan (Knapman, 2012).

Task 1.2) Keeping promises with the Stakeholders

The main objective of Toyota is to localize production as per the needs of its customers (from various socio-economic background), to foster employee centric environment at the workplace, and generate long term financial growth and opportunities for the rest of its share holders (Nicola 2005).

For instance, when it comes to vehicle sales, Toyota UK, believe that in order to succeed in the current market dynamics, one should analyze the customers in great detail and figure out the reasons which influence their purchase decisions. Listening to the customer feedback and proactively resolving their issues is one of the ways through which Toyota meets its objective of customer satisfaction (Nicola 2005).

Toyota believe that the only way to survive in the cut throat UK automobile market is not only satisfying one external customers, but also keep in mind the satisfaction level of their internal stakeholders in the form of its employees and shareholders. Therefore, they are always engaged in the efforts and take initiatives that create a sense of emotional and financial security to its internal stakeholder and make them perceive Toyota as a reliable employer and a growing business organization with unlimited market potential (Nicola 2005).
