Task 1

Introduction

This task explains the research methodology that is used for accomplishing the requirements of the first task. The core objective of this section is to select an optimal research methodology through which the study variables extracted from presented scenario can be analyzed to obtain valid results. This section not only explains the useful data required, sources of information, data collection instrument and data collection methodology adapted; but, this section also explores the pros and cons of selected research methodology and approaches adapted during data analysis by illustrating the advantages and disadvantages of methodology adapted. This part of the study is related to the important elements of methodology that include data which also entails primary and secondary data, survey methodology and sampling framework. All of these elements are vital determinants for a research study as these factors facilitates in the purpose of the study.

Requirement 1.1

Data

Data can be illustrated as the compilation of diverse facts, figures and measurements that can be used for distinctive purposes. Data is represented by diverse forms and structures. Data can be illustrated in numbers, figures, graphs, diagrams, alphabets, measurements, experiments, surveys and observations. Moreover, there are several other modes in which data can be illustrated. Data can be analyzed using diverse techniques and tools in order to extract valid findings (Brewer, Ware, 1999, 45-52). In the current scenario, the data can represent any list of figures, observations and information through which job satisfaction level of participants can be explored.

Sources of Information

The sources of information are different resources from which information is extracted. There are two basic sources of information primary and secondary. Primary information source is the source from which information is gathered for further analysis. Nonetheless, the secondary information source provides information that does not require further analysis. In the current scenario, the source of information to be used is primary as the research in this context requires the analysis of employee job satisfaction and the factors affecting it.
