Abstract

The conduct of a business either profit or non profit organizations reflect a non ethical and non religious aroma in its operations that are clearly against Christian and biblical values and teachings. The primary objective of this research proposal is to investigate the Religious and Legitimate purpose of business in the eyes of God and the desired operation of business in the light of religious teachings. The research questions prepared that address the objective of a the research include:

How Christians in the light of biblical and religious teachings, should carry out his or her role and associated responsibilities in business?

What approach or methodology should be utilized or practiced by Christians engaged in business operations and management?

Is it necessary to perform business oriented activities via visionary sources or adapted readily or any approach that lies in between the given range?

The significance of the research can be proved by the influencing nature of business on the world in a good or evil manner, therefore, the requirement of theological perspective of business becomes necessary to be stated and explained critically in order to take corrective actions and to perform business related activities appropriately. The researcher has attempted to conduct this study based on identified concepts and aims to formulate the relationship between two interrelated disciplines within the potential boundary of topic. Therefore, a detailed qualitative study of the aforementioned domain would introduce wide range of predictors in this regard.

The researcher has highlighted the raised issues of theology on the basis of three broad categories, which are creation, Fall and Redemption. Walsh and Middleton initially introduced this approach in order to formulate the base of theology or religious perspective with respect to variety of issues experienced in one's lifetime. The main purpose of this framework is to explain the objective and logic associated to work with respect to God's or religious perspective.

Introduction

There has been a long debate over decades regarding the responsibility of non profit nature of business towards fulfilling the legal and genuine purpose of serving God's humanity and performing required deeds in a guided manner in the world. The conduct of a business either profit or non profit organizations reflect a non ethical and non religious aroma in its operations that are clearly against Christian and biblical values and teachings. It has been observed overall that the tremendous growth and progress of economy has resulted in the adaptation and boost in the western way of living across the world. However, the price paid for increasing growth and development throughout the world can be seen in form of increasing gap in wealth, increasing discriminatory behaviors among various cultures, adverse effects on environment, destructive cultural values and beliefs.
