Introduction

Chaucer opens in his “Chaucer Canterbury Tales” a description of 29 individuals who are going for a pilgrimage. Each of the individual has different personality which we can identify from way individuals were portrayed to behave. Chaucer made great effort to mark the individuality of the Wife of Bath in a remarkable way. To me, wife of bath has a really bright and positive side that is an emblem of power and freedom.
