The emotional pain and distress of borderline personality disorder: A review of the literature

Abstract

The study aims at investigating the women diagnosed as borderline personality disorder. In recent years it was identified that there is an increase in the prevalence of borderline personality disorder. The new forms of treatment and prevention is focused under the study. In this paper the cause of borderline personality was identified as the childhood abuse can lead to this disorder. They are facing the traumatic situation that occurred in their life as an unforgettable incident. It is connected to the unresolved emotional experiences that are catered by an individual while dealing with patients with borderline disorder. There is emotional stress related to the borderline personality disorder. The effectiveness of borderline personality disorder was identified in this study. It was also identified that patient with the borderline disorder faced emotional pain. The severe condition of borderline disorder leads to the hospitalization and prevention of the disorder leads to the hospitalization and the PTSD - post traumatic stress disorder is diagnosed in the patient with borderline disorder (Holm, et.al 2008).

A Goal-Oriented Limited-Duration Approach for Borderline Personality Disorder During Brief Inpatient Hospitalizations

Abstract

The study aims at investigating the impatient hospitalization in borderline personality disorder. It was noted that there is severe distress in the disease and there is increased risk of self harm. As when the level of stress increases in the patients they involve in the act of self harm and suicidal attacks. It was also identified that hospitalization environment increase patient distress. This paper identifies the borderline personality disorder and the treatment approach that takes place in catering this disease. It was identified that in this disorder patient face severe emotional problems and there is mood disability. In hospitalization they try to reduce the feeling of rejection in the patient as they develop the feeling of acceptance. When a patient accept their borderline personality disorder condition then only they can overcome with the effects for he diseases that prevails with them. The psychiatrist treat the patient and inform them the copying strategies as to overcome with their problem of borderline personality disorder (Siefert, 2012).
