Essay

I made my decision to pursue my MBA during the middle of this year. I was searching for the college that would fit my needs, vision and goals the best. I had been primarily looking at colleges in the Midwest, close to Chicago when I met Mr. Nayef Stetieh, CEO of BDC in Jordan. We talked about our mutual interests and concerns for the Middle East and the plight of gender equality. During our discussions, he recommended Booth. I was aware of Booth, as a prestigious Ivy League school, but only by reputation. I decided to do some homework and was very impressed with what I learned.

During my research for the right school, I discovered that all of the top business schools offer a lot of the same thing. Every good business school offers culturally diverse staff, faculty, students and alumni. What sets Booth apart is Booth is focused on generating not just MBA graduates or business leaders, but global leaders. Global leaders will establish sustainable programs worldwide. Booth truly lives up to its global management experience with multiple campuses around the world. The GATE program will allow me to expand my knowledge of different cultures and business practices with a perspective of learning, while allowing me to showcase my past experiences by helping fellow students with some of the lingual and cultural barriers. One of the reasons why I want to start immediately is that the next Gate course is in the Middle East and South East Asia, which is where I want to focus my efforts after graduation.
