By reading the book, I thought it would be an ordinary illustration of how children lead their lives. I thought t to be similar to the explanation given generally by people regarding the way children behave and act. I considered it to be the ideas generally presented by the author regarding childhood events. However, after this reading this book, my perceptions have changed a lot. I have found the book to be very interesting and appealing to everyone who loves children. It is also valuable for teachers.

It is generally perceived that it is difficult to deal with little children; people consider handling children as a tedious task. Most teachers are also uncomfortable at dealing with kids. It can be seen from the way a little girl Carla, was made to feel unwanted. Many people including the teachers of kindergarten schools think that children do not have developed minds and so they cannot think in a logical manner. People think that children usually fantasize about every thing around them. They do not have consistency in the way they think and so have unorganized thoughts.

It is also a general idea about kids that they dislike schools especially in the early days. It is thought that children refrain from attending schools because they are made to learn new things. This perception due the idea that children find it difficult to learn new things. In order to deal with their irrational thoughts and their illogical behavior, the teachers dealing with the kindergarten kids are trained to resist behaviors demonstrated by children. They are made to learn that they should avoid any illogical remark made by children. However, in an effort to do so, many teachers develop anxiety.

In this book, the author has very nicely presented all the ideas regarding the handling of children at the kindergarten level. They have clearly shown that there is no need to avoid the illogical thoughts of the children or be anxious about the way they behave. The story has a moral regarding the way children can be dealt calmly. This book should be read by the teachers who are responsible for handling kindergarten kids. It ca also be read by mothers of small kids. This will enable them to understand the away a Childs potential can be developed.
