Black Organized Crime

Abstract

The paper provides comprehensive and significant findings of Organized Black Crime. The paper provides two court cases and its analysis, which will provide significant understanding of the organized black crime. Organized crime is their in society throughout the history. The crime control organization began in countryside and undeveloped areas but by the nineteenth century urban crime organization began to grow in many parts of the world. The U.S. constitutional reforms and restrictions on law enforcement passed certain regulations and the Eighteenth Amendment of its Constitution also talks about the guarantees against the innocent persons of any activity of the organized crime that may take place within the state boundary. It suggests that the U.S. is certainly not ignorant of the potential dangers of black organized crime. It is taking initiatives to stop these practices and abduct the criminals involved, for prosecution.

Introduction

Since the 1960s, an increasing diversity of criminal groups has augmented the more traditional forms of organized crime, such as those represented by the Mafia and similar groupings. Motorcycle and youth gangs and black, crime groups have expanded in the USA and elsewhere. Terrorist groups are also routinely involved in international crime, especially drugs and trafficking in arms. Many of these groups are international in the sense that they operate in several jurisdictions. However, whether we should describe them as 'transnational' (in the sense that they transcend every jurisdiction) is debatable. Black Organized crime significantly increased in United States of America.

The following are some of the characteristics of organized crime:

Organized crime has no special goals of politics,

It is quite hierarchical and follows symmetrical patterns,

It has limited membership since everyone cannot be relied for sharing the secrets of such organization and disclosure of their information which is often sensitive in nature,

It perpetuates itself, using defined motives and objectives,

Organized crime groups use violence to spread their fear, and

It is governed by explicit rules and regulations (Lyman & Potter, 2004).
