Throughout history, various characters are planned unfortunately due to 'terrifying impact' of an alleged over-population on earth (Solinger, 2005). In general, the issues of birth control for population control are discussed and regulated by the government (Nelson, 2003). For example, in China, women have to undergo surgical sterilization after birth due to the one-child policy, the government introduced in the hope of slowing population growth.
