Introduction

John Locke born in Wrington, near Bristol, on August 29, 1632. Son of a judicial officer, received his first lessons at his home until 1646 when, at the age of 14 years, and entered Westminster School (which exerted a great influence on the intellectual life of the seventeenth century). John Locke [1632-1704], English philosopher, founder of the school of empiricism. Locke born in the village of Wrington, Somerset, on August 29, 1632. He studied at Oxford University and taught in Greek, rhetoric and moral philosophy at Oxford from 1661 to 1664. In 1667, he began his relationship with the English statesman Anthony Ashley Cooper, first Earl of Shaftesbury, who was a friend, counselor and doctor (Franklin, 1978).

Shaftesbury Locke got to some misdemeanors in government. In 1669, as one of their official duties, Locke wrote a constitution for the owners of the Carolina colony in North America, but it never implemented. In 1675, after Shaftesbury had lost liberal in favor of the crown, Locke was established in France. He returned to England in 1679, but due to his opposition to the Roman Catholic Church, which had the support of the English monarchy since that time, soon had to return to the mainland (Moseley, 2007). Desde1683 lived in Holland until 1688, after the Glorious Revolution call of 1688 and the restoration of Protestantism, Locke returned to England again. The new King William III of Orange appointed Locke played by the Ministry of Commerce in 1696, a position from which he resigned in 1700 due to illness. Oates died in the October 28, 1704.
