Carlos Slim father Yusef Salim Haddad and mother Linda Helu were Lebanese immigrant to Mexico. Carlos was the fifth of six children. He is one the Mexican business tycoon and philanthropist who is the chairman, and Chief Executive of telecommunication companies America Movil and TELMEX, and has widespread holdings in other Mexican companies through his Group Carso SAB corporation, and other businesses around the globe.
