Assignment 1: Roman 1: 14-17

Introduction

After introducing himself as an apostle appropriately by appealing to those who were called to Rome, the apostle Paul shows his gratitude for their trust, and his immense wish to perceive them, in spite of all the obstacles previously in for their mutual encouragement. He wanted the fruit here as elsewhere, is debtor vis-à-vis all. This paper discusses and analyzes the Roman 1: 14-17.

Context

Without the gospel, God's justice would quickly treated the case of the guilty, it would have been obliged to do, and she should have done judging them now and forever. But the gospel is the power of God in salvation, because in him His righteousness is revealed by means of faith. If it were by works of law, man should earn and deserve life, but the gospel is entirely the opposite of such a scheme, and the man is guilty and therefore lost on any field of this kind, unless it disappears as an object of God's salvation that triumph now blessed in the fact that salvation is His righteousness. It is extremely important to consider this great truth. This is not simply a right that God gives and gives, which is useful in dealing with him (*), although this is all quite true. The meaning is what the words say ("the righteousness of God") without going any further for now. Is there any doubt about the strength of "the power of God", just before, and the strength of "the wrath of God", just after? Why do men achopperaient they on the similar expression contained between two? Romans 3:21-26 is explicit enough to help us settle the question definitively.

Romans 1:16-17 introduces the theme of the virtue of God. The virtue of God is directly linked with the gospel. In these two introductory verses, Paul declares his self-assurance in the gospel and gives us two reasons for his boldness in proclaiming it. First, the gospel is the “power of God for the salvation” of both Jews and Gentiles. Second, the gospel reveals the righteousness of God. The verse (1:17) is very important in itself and very broad in scope as well as on the Epistle to the doctrine of the gospel in general, but he was extremely confused by conflicting thoughts even from true believers, let alone theologians of all stripes, so you must carefully consider the dependence of our God will certainly reward the effort (1:16,17).

Comparison

In Titus 2 the apostle considers the source of the gospel: it is the grace of God. The Lost Man needs the saving grace, which is only God who appeared free and fully in Jesus Christ and His redemption. The awakened sinner repents, hates his sins, is judged as totally evil and nothing but the sight of God, and so he blames Christ humbly and gratefully. But in the gospel, what is revealed is not the victory of the soul struggling against sin, but God is precisely consistent with Himself when He reveals to the ...
