I. Introduction

John 17 is called Jesus' high religious prayer.  In just a couple of hours, Jesus would be apprehended and crucified.  He utilised his last residual time to pray.  When we gaze at someone's plea, we can glimpse what is significant to them.  Many people's plea is selfish: “Oh Lord, give me this and give me that.”  But Jesus plea displays him as our high cleric (Heb 6:20).
