Major actors and their interests and characteristics

The main actors in the case study are Joe, Ash, and Ben. Joe had worked in the Australian Army as an officer. He was an MBA and had professional experience in the sales and marketing of business consulting companies. He was recruited in Opcom on 2001. By nature, Joe had an aggressive nature for future sales. Ashley was a Chartered Accountant and joined Opcom in 2002. He had considerable amount of experience in the Financial Operations and Business Management. He had interest in the preparations of IT start-ups for their listing in the stock market. By nature, Ash had a conservative approach towards future sales. After Biarri was launched, tow former employees of Jeppesen were hired. One of them was Ben. He was offered to buy shares in Biarri. While working in Jeppesen, Ben was mentored by Michael and Andrew. He had good working relationship with Ash and Joe. In 2011, Ben was listed among the investors in the NBN layout of Biarri. In 2009, when Ben joined Biarri the key issue he faced was the purchase of shares in the company. In 2010, he bought 5% shares. He also received options to purchase 2% more of the shares in the company by mid 2012. By early 2012, Ben started to consider the options offered but by mid 2012, Ben announced that he isn't taking up the options and instead thinking of resigning from Biarri.
