Introduction

Global Burden of disease

Global Burden of disease is an activity which was held to calculate the relative extent of reduction in health status because of injuries, diseases and different risk factors that occur due to gender, age and geographical factors. The global burden of disease is not based on lack of productivity and income but is mainly focused on lack of health status. The approach of Global burden disease is beneficial for leaders of health sector, decision makers, citizens and researchers so that they would be able to compare different diseases, risk factors for the diseases and enable them to understand the reasons which lead to the loss of health in different regions of the world (Christopher, Majid, Abraham, Stephen & Rafael, 2012).

The global health burden has been able to exemplify the impressive results regarding health from past few years. Life span of males and females has increased and there are less number of deaths due to malnutrition and various other diseases. The results have shown that the rate of mortality of children has been decreased (UICC 2013).

Exceptional longevity

Centenarians are studied to find out the factors that can lead to health and longevity. In many researches the behavior and characteristics of centenarians are compared with the young people of the population. There are many populations that have the rate of exceptional longevity and there longevity has been studied in detail.

Exceptional longevity and confirmation of age is fundamental in order to conduct research on older people. There are different procedures for the validation of the longevity at population level and the longevity at individual level. In order to find out the longevity at individual level, the analysis is performed after the complete verification of the age of the older person (Poulain, 2011). However, it is necessary to find out the complete counting of the older people for population longevity so that the basic analysis of the demographic evolution can be made possible. Population projections for anticipating the future evolution of the number well as the sex and age composition of residents of a geographic area determined. By showing the features present each population, make it possible to evaluate the needs and measures to be taken in each territory. Thus, the population projections are useful to develop structural planning, according to economic and social opportunities and limitations imposed by population dynamics. Problems arise when the projections do not correspond to the reality observed years later, when the needs and resources are not expected and, consequently, the measures taken are not the most appropriate give to that situation. Hence the importance of developing projections of reliable population that is as close as possible to reality (Poulain, 2011).

Using method demographic components for the projections, as is usual, there are only two possible sources of error: the first is the choice of a starting population that does not correspond with the Real, the second, that the assumptions on the future evolution of ...
