Benefits to remote north Australian Aboriginal communities in having training and employment

Abstract

Australians of aboriginal communities have relatively much lesser employment rate than other people living in Australia. There are many reasons for the lower employment rate of aboriginal communities residing in Australia. These reasons include lower level of education, lower skills and training levels, inadequate health, residing in such areas where labor opportunities are much lesser, higher rate of arrest and dealings with the criminal or illegal justice system, unfairness and lower levels of job preservation. Aboriginal employment has been increased in the period between 1994 and 2008, particularly in the private or privileged sector. There must be some policies that will be helpful in the increment of demand for indigenous workers and also to increase the number of aboriginal employees, and there should also be availability of skills in order to occupy the vacancies. These policies will be beneficial for both the country's development and indigenous people who are living in north Australia. Through the formal training or education, their skills can get better. Pre-employment training should be provided in order to grant job seekers employment ready.
