The project is conducted every year since 2004 in the month of August. Different artists participate from different parts of the globe. The world comes together in the month of August to China for the purpose of celebrating the history of Beijing and the gift of music. The project is managed so effectively that it provides unforgettable experiential moments to the participants. The music and culture both are celebrated within this project. The project is all about music and recognition to the artists and the cultural history of Beijing. The project occurred in the context of providing a new depth to the music industry within Beijing (www.bimfa.org).

The significance of music in the religious life can be traced back to ancient civilizations. The Paranoiac rites used to focus on music for the purpose of gathering on the tombs of various pharaohs and religious men. Many of the religious ceremonies are dependent over the musical arrangements. Moreover, the event is extremely relevant to the cultural heritage of Beijing (Hartley, 2009 Pp. 5-11). It is also significant to consider that the society also shapes up the importance of music within the religious aspects. Each society differs in the requirements of its adherence with the religious influences. The behavior of music and the general relationship with religion is determined by the influences of the society. The event is assumed to be exceptionally successful mainly because of its underlying relationship with the cultural heritage and relationship of the nations to the music (Gray & Larson, 2008 Pp. 15-25).
