Background and Analysis of proposition regarding the homosexual marriages in California



BACKGROUND

In November, 2008 California elections, a petition regarding the issue of homosexual marriages were filed. It stated that only the marriages between opposite genders are valid in the state of California, also known as Proposition 8. The supposed proposition limited the legal interpretation of marriage and its right to the heterosexual horizon only, which deprived the locals from right of homosexual marriages.
