Chapter 1

In the video, eight week old Max was lying inside his baby bouncer. Baby bouncer was placed in front of television telecasting weather forecast. His head was slanted to one side. Max was consistently moving his head and raising his hand, observing the surroundings. Child's mother and sister are sitting in the background, talking to each other in German. When Max hears the voice of his mother and sister he raises his head in the direction of voice and looks at his mother as if he is listening to them as they speak. Max recognizes his mother's voice and moves his head towards her. Max is unable to move backward because of his sitting arrangement. He tries to face his mother and sister when his mother and sister talk to each other. After some time, he starts looking at television it appears that he is tired of looking backward continuously.

In my opinion, Max continuously attempts to face his mother and sister. It appears that he identifies his mother's sound. During the process he child's motor skills are being practiced by the effort of moving his head in the direction of the voice coming to his ears.

The movement of Max's hand is the strategy to show that he is trying to face his mother and sister. It shows that Max can locate his mother and sister's voice talking to each other. As mentioned earlier Max is facing television still he is more attentive towards mother's voice. Even television did not distract him from the mother and sister's conversation. Even though Max can

not comprehend the conversation among mother and sister he identifies and focuses on their voice more than televisions. Max can differentiate among English and German since he may be able to identify voice as well as languages.

Studies suggest that infants can identify a huge range of cues in the conversation signs including halfway prospects, phonotactics and hassle (Jusczyk, 1997; Jusczyk, Cutler, & Redanz, 1993; McQueen, 1998; Morgan & Saffran, 1995; Saffran, Aslin, & Newport, 1996; Saffran, Newport & Aslin, 1996; Gerken, 1995). In the video, Max could recognize his mother and sister's voice due to which he responded repeatedly due to which he moved in the direction of the voice. This happened due to Max recognition and reaction to the voices, he moved his head backward. Chapter 3

I observed two years old Polly. In the video, Polly took a chair. She put her one foot on the chair and the other on the floor. She enters, and she pulls both sliding entryways separated with her hands. Then she enters, and she steps down without any support.

As the video proceeds, Polly is inside her lavatory was she is standing on a little seat, taking out toothpaste from the tube and applying on her tooth brush. Polly then begins to brush her teeth while researching the mirror; she begins brushing her face ...
