New improved feel Playback and Master Faders, the same faders are used on the Diamond 4 and Sapphire 2000 mastering, newly styled end cheeks finished in a tough grey and metal impregnated paint, newly styled roller laminate in Silver and Black. New Two Speed silver slim encoder knobs, as used and designed for Diamond 4. White and Grey fader knobs used throughout. Output panel now has 4 DMX XLR connectors, as used on the Sapphire 2000. Each console individually has an electronic number, connected to physically engraved metalwork numbering making reselling of stolen consoles more difficult. Supplied with or ready to install Pearl 2004 software, this includes new personality files containing table information for many fixtures making programming of complex fixtures very simple, Supplied with PC applications: Avolites Visualize, Pearl Simulation program and Cache Builder. The Pearl 2004 combines compact dimension, with plenty of power offerings full moving light control for up to 240 intelligent fixtures. As with all Avolites consoles, the Pearl is designed for quick and easy programming and playback. The patching and moving lights and color changers is as simple as patching a dimmer. Pearl provides fast building blocks for function plan, tilt, color, etc. Channels can be allocated as HTP or LTP for control of dimmers which can be patched in a button press. The new Pearl 2004 coupled with award winning Graphic Tablets that optimize speed and recovery. (Walther, 2008, pp. 96)

Jands T2

Jands Vista T2, consoles offer all that knowledge in a variety of excellent value, solidly built, reliable and robust controllers. The range features models to suit the needs and budgets of every application - whether theatre, concert, corporate, or event from arenas to schools, opera houses to multi-purpose venues. The Hardware features include, built in Pentium M Processor®, and Linux operating system, 16 DMX universes, all processed onboard available over ArtNet, 15 playbacks, 10 with faders and flash buttons. Up to 40 per page in split mode, page up/down, modifier, and user definable soft key buttons, master playback section. 3 Encoders with associated LCD display and soft keys, rotary Grandmaster and DBO button, 4 DMX output ports, SMPTE time code input and desk lamp connections. Its soft ware offerings include, simple, intuitive, visual interface, generic fixture model allows different types of fixture to be controlled together. Fast, accurate, fixture swapping simply by changing type in the patch precise, timeline control, powerful, easy to use, reusable effects. (Walther, 2008, pp. 96)
