The aviation industry plays a crucial role in global economic operations. A key element of maintaining standards of civil aviation is to ensure that efficient, environment friendly, safe, secure, and sustainable operations are conducted at a national, global, and regional environment. A problem that has been gradually rising is the deficiencies found in aviation. Issues varying from operations, technology, and personnel reflect incidents that are hampering the flying experience (IAA 2012, p. 1-49).
In order to address these issues, several agencies have developed safety plans to assure that all stakeholders involved in the aviation industry are protected from risk and ensure safe, and secure flights. The Irish Aviation Association developed a safety plan that has been implemented with success. In order to understand the effectiveness of the plan, it has been critical analyzed according to performance. After that, it has been compared to the safety plans prepared by the European Aviation Safety Agency and the International Civil Aviation Organization to measure its effectiveness. Through these specifications, a recommended, strategic framework is being developed regarding the airspace in the United Arab Emirates (Pearce 2013, p. 1-15).
Critical Analysis
The Aviation Safety Review 2012 states details regarding the air traffic control and all factors that affect the operations conducted according to the performance. 2012 was seen as a growing period for global aviation. Initial collection of data suggests that aviation safety has minimized the fatality of accidents on a global scale. The value has improved to 11 incidents in 2012 on passenger air transport activities. The principal qualification regarding air transport is the holding of an AOC (Air Operators Certificate).
The primary focus on the safety review is the position of the Irish Aviation industry. The Irish AOC holders and their lease fleet have registered 739 commercial aircrafts as the end of 2012. This has been analyzed as a 10% growth as compared to the prior year. Of these, 457 aircrafts are in operation regarding aviation. The biggest AOC holders include Aer Lingus, Air Contractors, Ryanair, Aer Arann, and CityJet. Collaboratively, these aviations had 674,044 flights in 2012 and had a growth of 11,000 flights as compared to the previous year (IAA 2012, p. 1-49).
There were 3 types of incidents that were communicated by the Aviation. The popular concern was component failure inside the aircraft with no relation to the engine. The second general incident is regarding passenger illness in the cabin of the aircraft. The third incident is reflected upon the reporting of communication, navigation, surveillance, and air traffic management by Irish AOC holders. This final sector involves equipment failure, and mistakes by Air Traffic controllers (IAA 2012, p. 1-49).
In order to evaluate the performance, the IAA has to detect deficiencies in the air transport industry. There are five crucial areas that are facing deficiencies and are being discussed below. Each of the individual aspects has been marked according to a scale regarding the severity of the deficiency with labels stated as a dangerous incident ...
