Assumption of Mary, or Assumption of the Virgin is the belief, according to tradition andtheology of the Orthodox Church and the Catholic Church that the heart and soul of the Virgin Mary was taken to heaven after finishing his days in land. This transfer is called Assumptio Beatæ Mariæ Virginis (Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary) by Roman Catholics, whose doctrine was defined as dogma (truth that cannot be doubted), by Pope Pius XII on November 1 of 1950.
