Background

Evidence from 85 investigations was analyzed to recognise risk factors most strongly associated to intimate colleague physical abuse perpetration and victimization. The investigations made 308 distinct effect sizes. These effect dimensions were then utilised to assess composite effect sizes for 16 perpetration and 9 victimization risk factors. (Babcock 1999:50)
