Introduction

John W. Palmer writer of the book “Constitutional Rights of Prisoners” suggests that society is best judged by its prison, and treatment of its outcast. This quotation essentially reflects that a society can be best known by its prison. Meaning that, the civilization of any society can be clearly viewed from its prison (Palmer, 1981). If the prisons are filled with criminals than its shows that the crime rate in that society is greater. As more people are there in prison its mean that the crime rate of the society has increased, reason may be different for this. It may be possible that people are jobless. It could be one of the main reasons of crime. There are several cases that support the statement of Plmer.

The case was of Jose Medellin, a national of Mexican living unlawfully in the United States who was found culpable beyond any sensible presumption of taking part in a mainly shocking kidnap, gang rape and also torture murder of two immature young women in Houston, Texas in 1993, at what time he was just 18 years old.

The above examples clearly represents that the prison can be a mirror to the society, as there was an obvious injustice in the society. The statistics are showing that it is true as discrimination is very much clear to everyone.

Similarly, in 1994, the case of Charles Albright also named The Eyeball Killer who convicted of killing three prostitutes in Texas was sentenced to life incarceration. Similarly, Rodney Alcala also convicted serial killer and rapist. These are also examples of negative image representation of the state.

Allport was quoted by Plantz (1988) pretenses it that discrimination is an approach that may or may not be showed in pronounced antagonism. Combined with authority it has the extra skill to distinguish or reject persons or groups of people parity of behavior. This is particularly most important in the criminal ...
