This discussion will present a self-assessment profile in an attempt to discuss my present management skills as reflected in my current CV. This will be followed by the presentation of an action plan directed towards the alignment of the skills. In order to do so effectively, the discussion will highlight evidence for perceptions concerning skills in light of relevant management theory.
Discussion of your modern management skills
Management or management is the primary means all the technical organization of the resources used in connection with the administration of an entity, including the art of directing men in order to satisfactory performance. In order, to optimize the scope of reference has been continuously expanded (Alston, 1995). My current management skills & Abilities with reference to my CV are:
Customer Service: Liaising with customers and dealing with inquires and complaints
Communication: Fluent in English, Portuguese, lingala and French
Creativity: An eye for detail Good skills in graphic & poster design
Planning and organizing: Ability to arranged sales promotions whilst prioritizing workload, multi tasking and working under pressure Computers skills: Competent knowledge and use of Microsoft Word, Explorer, Excel and Publisher also Photoshop 7 and Logic Pro A very good working knowledge of Microsoft XP OS, Office 2003, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Outlook, Excel, Power-point, Word, Publisher and Photoshop.
With the help of my abilities I was able to work in many of the firms, I would like to share my employment history in order to understand what I was doing in that firm and what my responsibilities in that firm were. First work experience was of Support worker in Kirklees young careers I worked for seven months in this council; and there, I was employed as a voluntary support worker. I worked directly with 10 children on a one to one basis this included listening to concerns children had provided activities (group) to enable children to have respite from their caring role.
Second work experience was of contact officer in Barnsley council my tenure of working in this council is from march, 2006 to April, 2008, when I was employed newly there I was responsible for supervising contact between parents and their children who were in local authority care. As all the contacts, I supervised were in proceeding I was responsible for observing parenting capacities, attachment and interaction between parents and children and appropriate behavior. Paramount to this was accurate and concise report writing. As I was good in managing my work; and as a supervisor was making my contacts stronger for this achievement I made Family support worker in November, 2006. After being a family support worker my responsibilities were changed; and I was responsible to work with family and teenage children where relationships had broken down using solution focused therapy. I helped families to communicate and to stop their young person from going into local authority care.
