The course of Technical-writing at University of Texas at Arlington introduced me to some of the most significant and necessary aspects of writing in the field of business, science and technology; it means that the kind of writing that nurses, scientists, engineers, doctors, government officials, computer professionals, and other people carry out as a task in their regular work routine.
Thus, this course allowed me to learn how to write successfully for the field of work; I have learnt how to study usual types of reports and particular items of formatting for instance headings and lists, simple and straightforward techniques for adding graphics into reports, and a number of techniques for making specialized final copy. Technical-writing course at University of Texas at Arlington has made me learn many other things which are taught in other writing courses. Regarding my present job, I have to do some writing, which has made me realize that I can put what I have learnt in my technical-writing course to instant use.
The time when I was choosing this course, I was wondering what this "technical writing course" is. Some people even told me that it is a course where they make students write on the subject of brain surgery and rocket science etc. However, this is not the case at all. In point of fact, the world of technical communications is a completely specialized field with certifications, degree programs, and even theory. It is a very good field with loads of income and growth potential; and a preliminary technical-writing course which has been built up in a good manner to begin if one is pretty much interested in a profession in this field.
