Introduction

It is by far certainly proven that smoking is the major reason behind a lot of preventable morbidity and mortality, featuring a global concern to public health and wellbeing. In the meantime plenty of attention has been given to anti-smoking campaigns. This document discusses two basic dynamics. Firstly the considerations that would potentially guide evaluation planning for the health/social program of antismoking. Secondly the content of this document will identify and discuss the various stakeholders in the program evaluation and discuss their respective interests.

The Considerations

The antismoking program basically focuses on the youngsters who smoke just to get fit into the social circle, thinking smoking is cool. Usually smoking paves the way for future drug abuse in these youngsters and individuals who smoke are more likely to get involved in drug consumption compared with individuals who don't smoke.

The social pressure at this time of life is note worthy, teenagers being emotionally week and immature are easily trapped hence serving as an immense market for tobacco and drug cartels. Adolescents consider smoking as act of bravery and pathway to adulthood. Smoking even though has been accepted socially, however it's still a despicable act, curiosity takes better part of youngsters and they get easily attracted to such notorious things while struggling to be part of a so called cool group (Bauer, Johnson and Hopkins, 2000). Parents who are tobacco addict can affect their entire families. Hence it is very important to tame the “young population” so that they would be aware of the harmful effects of drugs and can work on quitting it before it's too late.
