Biblical and Theological basis for Mission
God is not Jesus Christ in the world to condemn it, he sent him in the world because he might be saved the world through him. Christians who attend the churches are also faithful to have a tendency to see the tension between God and Jesus Christ (Hirsch, 2009). They take God as vindictive and harsh that is seeking to punish the mankind. On the other side, they take Jesus Christ as the merciful and compassionate who must persuade God to spare some of his people for wrath. It is considered as a distortion of the biblical teaching.
Theology of the mission fundamentally involved to the reflection about God. Theological approach seeks to understand the mission of God and his intentions. God makes human instrument in his mission and working through people in the World. However, theology of mission deals with the traditional systematic theology theme, but it does in a different way that worked down through the centuries (Hirsch, 2009). It is a systematic theology that dealing with the applied theology. At times, it could call a practical theology or pastoral due to its application nature.
