The term logistics pertain to the carriage of resources from one place to another. The business of managing the logistics from one place to another, it encompasses of total management of the way goods are stored and moved from place to place.

It is world largest cargo and logistics services that manage the inflow and outflow of the goods, in terms of their delivery, with regard to safety and timeliness. There are several big names such as DHL. Fed Ex and UPS, however, the UPS is the biggest logistics services of the world. The company was founded in the 1907; the company focuses upon the enabling of the global e-commerce to connect via provision of the services of logistics to all across the world.

Business cost: the cost of carriage and all other solutions provided by the UPS was escalating multifold; however, they were providing optimized solutions to the businesses.

The delivery time: another major constraint was the delivery time often being extended due to overly loaded carriages.

The competition: the competition was taking colossal share in the market, and people were unable to identify the differences between the US parcel services and other brand.

The strategic loss: the most fundamental strategic loss comprises of copying of the business model by other competitors.

The international customers: a very significant amount of the revenue that was generated from the international customer base was lost due to the emergence of UPS as a second preference to the customers.

Investment in Supply chain: the company has to invest a huge amount of money so as to extend the supply chain. They have to re-design the entire model to reach the consumer in a more direct and effective manner.
