The word motivation is emerged from a Latin word movere whose actual meaning is to move. The traditional definition of motivation is referred to as the procedure, which involves developing, creating enthusiasm, leading, guiding, and sustaining the objective based adequate performance or behaviour. Motivation is comprehended as an outcome of inner and outer variables that helps in creating or formulating a desired work related behaviour in favour of the organization amongst employees (Lathans. 1998. p. 36).
Motivation is something that is already valued and appreciated inside every human being. It is one of the core needs of every person to perform a certain set of responsibilities willingly and energetically. The motivational process can be triggered by arising and activating the factors associated to motivation. In addition, motivation is a short term process and a small cycle that needs to be revitalized after short spam of time therefore, it is highly recommended for leaders and managers to keep on motivating employees at all levels to get the desired work done after certain interval on regular basis. Employees that are motivated to perform the desired duties and responsibilities at work are considered as core and valuable assists to the organization because these are the employees who perform effectively at work and attain the desired outcomes as decided by managers and top management that contributes to the success of the company over all. Managers and key leaders in any organization are required to use managerial tools and motivational triggers accurately to motivate employees and attain the required organizational goals.

The theoretical concept of motivational theory possess two broad and widely accepted and practiced theories of motivation in official literature. These two theories are known as content and process theories of motivation. Content theory explains the reason and logic behind motivating employees using different tactics and ways in different work surroundings. The content theory of motivation has been widely accepted in form of works done by Herzberg in 1959 whose theory of motivation is known as Two Factor Theory and the works represented by Maslow in 1943 with the name of Hierarchy of needs.
