Introduction

The purpose of this study is to expand the boundaries of our knowledge by exploring some relevant facts and techniques that are required to articulate a research plan for launching a new business in Australia. In this paper, I will have developed a business plan for my “Coffee House”. The primary purpose of articulating this business plan is to attract the venture capitalist to invest in my project. The mission of the company is to be the best coffeehouse choice for the community, business workers, students and tourists. All this followed by an attractive and sustainable return of more than 20% return on our investment.

Opportunity Analysis & Research

Research methods used in our analysis includes general surveys and interviews from consumers who represent an adequate part of the target market and turned out to give a successful response to the research processes. Coffee Creations' target market will appeal to the local community, business workers, students and tourists. We will also serve the under-served need of the pedestrian friendly sitting arrangement for those are on the run and like to relax under the sun or enjoy the open air environment.

Coffee Creations will make sure all the activities comply and support the principles defined under the United nation Compact and adopt social responsibility charter to take appropriate global initiatives.

Industry Analysis of Australian Coffee Industry

The specialty coffee industry is the fastest growing segment in the world coffee market, which today is undergoing a profound crisis. Coffee is mainly consumed in developed countries of the northern hemisphere and not in the South producing countries except Brazil and Ethiopia. Coffee is the drink of choice in Europe. Coffee is drunk in the morning as well, after eating and sometimes at night. The coffee market is a mature market and 95% of the population already drinking coffee. So there is no possibility of increasing the market in number of consumers. In addition, young people drink less coffee than their elders and are attracted to new concepts of beverages such as sodas and energy drinks (Anderson 2007, pp. 1).
