Southwestern Energy is granted the powers of monopoly, as it is the only company who serves its area with electric utilities to its people. It takes care of all the utilities in its region including the wind energy distributors which consists of MidAmerican Energy Holdings, the PG&E, Southern California Edison and TXU.
