Why Work and Learning in Canada Must Account for Canadian Realities and Management Perspectives

We live in a world that is continuously changing and it is imperative to adapt to those changes and make them a part of our living life. It is also important to understand the daily and work life activities and use it as an application so that it adds up to our knowledge. But having said this, the question remains, how frequent are we able to grasp these changes and is it easy to adopt them into our daily lives?

One way of keeping yourself updated and aware of these vigorous and dynamic changes is “Learning”. This is followed by another question that would help us understand those major sources of that would provide us the right direction and helps us achieving that knowledge. That source is Schools, where children and adults are exposed to the worldly knowledge which helps them to recognize the ways of adaptation to the changes that take place globally.

Higher education is becoming significant for students everyday because of the growing competition, job opportunities and economical changes (Schuetze, 2004). The job market is creating comparatively few job opportunities to the number of students that graduate every year. It's easier said than done to claim that students are able to attain a career focused job once they have graduated. My coworker mentioned me at my previous job, I was one of those few students that qualified for the test at for a designated position and only 8 were able to make it for the final interview out of 300 applicants and only 1 qualified for that seat. He told me the company distinguished students after viewing their Résumé and first short listed those candidates who acquired degree from reputed universities and then checked over their test.

With the changes taking place economically it has influenced the schooling system a lot. Work has highly influenced the characteristics of schooling that have derived the routines and expectations that comprise of curriculum of the study place. To provide relevant exposure to that students in Canada that relates to their skill or interest contains situations and illustrations, cases, modern equipments, assignments, labs and newest course books along with some internship programs that offer real life work experience so that students can gradually get used to the organizational behavior and get decent experience in their desired field. It is hoped that students will be able to accomplish these programs successfully so that it helps them in the life they struggle after graduation and ultimately helps them succeed in their career. Schooling system facilitates students to face conditions and circumstances like respect for authority, respect law and order, rescheduling of gratification, failure, success and competition. It allows them to blend into social experiences and environments that assist them in alleviating transition.
